Happy Christmas

This nativity film was made with the children from the Jacodu Children's Project. I am really proud of how far they have progressed since the project has started. It shows that working with the children of poor families you can start breaking the cycle of poverty which currently exists there.

World AIDS Day

World AIDS Day is very important here in Romania. A time to reflect upon the struggle of those who lost their fight and those still fighting. Many people with HIV are still treated with disdain and suffer discrimination daily.

Behind the Lens

This is a short film about my work here in Romania and how it has affected the projects by Love Light Romania and also made a difference to those who otherwise would have no voice.

I still desperately need help with funding so please contact me at: richfeaver@gmail.com if you feel you are able to help.

Desperately need help to replace the 7D!

On the 23rd October my Canon 7D camera broke. It was 2 years old so no longer under warranty. This is the camera which I use to shoot all the films for Love Light Romania. Without this camera I am not able to produce any new films and therefore desperately need help in raising the funds to replace it. The cost of the camera including delivery costs is £1050.

We have many important films planned for the winter and Christmas period and many projects will suffer without the use of this camera to document and raise awareness of the work. Many examples of work we have produced with this camera can be seen here: http://www.rjamesfeaver.co.uk/funding/#portfolio

I ask you to share this with anyone you think could help me in raising the funds. There is a chip-in widget on the right which you can use towards the costs .

Thank you.

Picture of the Day #6

One of the main aims of the Jacodu Project is to break the cycle of poverty which exists within the community and ensure the children, through education, do not have to suffer the same hardships faced by their parents. Romania, 2012.

Been working a lot on my Behind the Lens at Love Light film, there is so much to go through in the five years I have been here and it is really hard to try and get it all down into a 8 minute film. Still I hope when it is finished it will help me find some extra funding and also raise more awareness of Love Light's dedication and commitment to their work. Will hopefully have something online this week I can share.
